Status: 12-15 month Maternity Leave Replacement

This position is part of the Strategy Division of the Partnership. This division oversees and integrates Strategy, Evaluation and Analysis, Knowledge Mobilization, Corporate Communications and Public Outreach and Engagement functions to support and drive the Partnership's overall effectiveness in achieving our key goals and outcomes.
The Economics, Cancer Risk Management Platform Initiative has two streams of work which focus on providing evidence-based information to key partners and stakeholders to inform policy in cancer control:
• Evaluation of the economic impact of a collaborative approach to cancer control
• Using the Cancer Risk Management Model and other economic evaluation tools, support evidence-based decision-making by providing relevant and timely information to key partners and stakeholders in the cancer control community.

Overview of Role
Reporting to the Director, Strategy, Evaluation & Analytics, and supervising the program team members, the Program Manager, Economics, Cancer Risk Management Platform is accountable for managing and monitoring the ongoing development of the Cancer Risk Management Model ("CRMM”) platform, and for developing methods to measure the economic impact of a collaborative approach to cancer control. The Program Manager will collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including the Analytics team and Statistics Canada, on CRMM and Partnership programs, products and public outreach. The Program Manager will also make recommendations regarding strategic and operational plans and program development for CRMM committees, and manage/participate in various program evaluations, particularly pertaining to health system sustainability. The Program Manager will also provide oversight and mentoring to a small team.

Qualifications
• Master's degree in Economics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Business Administration or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in program management, including leading teams and/or projects, preferably with some experience in projects
• Experience working with provincial, national, and international cancer organizations and professional associations
• Experience and/or knowledge of health economics/ epidemiology, preferably health technology assessment in cancer
• Excellent knowledge and demonstrated experience of health sector issues/challenges, preferably cancer
• Strong knowledge of measuring ROI and cost-effectiveness of health interventions
• Strong analytic and interpretive skills particularly in the area of economic analysis and cancer system management; ability to analyze emerging issues and develop strategic responses
• Demonstrated strategic leadership skills, including ability to lead committees to deliver complex programs and solutions
• Ability to proactively lead and respond to change
• Strong internal and external relationship management skills, including stakeholder management at the provincial and/or national levels, and ability to interact and work effectively with colleagues and vendors
• Proven project management and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills; in both official languages an asset
