The Faculty of Finance is home to academics with world-leading and internationally excellent research records and education expertise in all key areas of Finance. The School is seeking to appoint a Reader in Finance, in the specific area of asset pricing.

Responsibilities

The appointed Reader will contribute to the School's research; design and deliver course modules and associated assessments; support and mentor students; contribute to curriculum development and innovation and make a significant contribution to the wider academic community, to the achievement of the Schools academic objectives and to academic excellence at City, in line with the university's Vision & Strategy 2026.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have a PhD in Finance, Financial Economics or relevant discipline; a research record of world-leading or internationally excellent quality with an emphasis on asset pricing; experience of successfully supervising PhD students and a record of excellence in delivering outstanding education and a high-quality student experience.
