Research Analyst - Behavioral Economics

FMG is seeking an intelligent and motivated research analyst needed to work as part of a research team. This individual's primary responsibility will be to support survey, experimental, and archival research efforts aimed at modeling and evaluating complex human decision processes. This job is best suited for an individual who enjoys research, possesses excellent attention to detail, continuously strives to learn and develop, and prefers working in a cooperative environment. Some current and upcoming projects include: a) evaluating voting outreach practices, b) estimating consumer tipping behavior, c) examining impacts of financial assistance programs on consumer behavior, d) assessing organizational performance at multiple levels.

Responsibilities include:

Assist with development, implementation, and analysis of surveys, experiments, and archival research.
Prepare written reports and professional briefings that summarize research findings.
Manage/manipulate datasets and assist in data cleaning.
Conduct univariate and multivariate statistical analyses to support a variety of research projects.
Using experimental or quasi-experimental methodologies (lab/field experiments, instrumental variables, Differences-in-Differences regression, etc.) to analyze the impact of public policies.
Conducting quality control on the work of self and others in research team.
Perform content coding on text-based data.
Coordinate with and support clients and vendors.
Work under tight deadlines to fulfill client requests.

Qualifications:

Masters in social science, statistics or related field required.
Two years of academic or professional research experience required. Additional experience preferred.
Demonstrated record of technical and business writing.
Strong quantitative ability with a strong proficiency level in at least one statistical analysis software package (STATA preferred).
Ability to work with others, as well as independently without close supervision.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures for working with data and maintaining quality control, along with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint® to communicate results.
