Research Analyst - Retail

Are you passionate about uncovering data and trends? Then you could be the right candidate for a research analyst position in our new retail division. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing and curating available data and information from various sources related to retail and consumer trends. You should have a strong facility with numbers, be focused and organized, familiar with financial statements and possess strong data analysis skills. This is a NYC-based position.

Key responsibilities:

•Organize and analyze data and information from various sources related to retail and consumers, including company reports, research firms, trade groups and government databases
•Accurately parse a variety of statistics, including survey and forecasting methodologies
•Discover and vet new sources of information
•Identify ways to improve existing processes, and build new tools to streamline the process of data collection and analysis
•Say on top of trends in the retail industry, and overall factors affecting American consumers
•Establish and develop relationships with information sources

Requirements:

•Bachelor's degree, MLS is a plus
•At least three years' experience in financial analysis and/or secondary market research
•Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas and vba/macros)
•Deep knowledge of financial/income statement analysis
•Organizational skills and the ability to multitask
