The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is looking for recent and future graduates to assist with the vital work of the Economic Research Department.

Position Description:
Research Associates make use of their undergraduate economics training and analytical toolkits to support staff economists in producing academic research, as well as high-level briefings on monetary policy and the economic outlook. Tasks include conducting quantitative analysis on economic issues using economic and financial data, computer programming, preparing supporting materials, and maintaining databases. The position is ideal for students considering graduate study in economics.

Requirements:
Superior academic record. BA in Finance or Economics with a quantitative background (econometrics, statistics, calculus, computer programming) or BA/BS in Math, Statistics or Computer Science with intermediate coursework in Finance or Economics. Effective skills in data analysis, writing, and communication. Significant computer programming experience a plus. Previous work experience as a Research Assistant also a plus, but not necessary. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
