Research Principal

You will work in a very versatile environment within international projects of HENDYPLAN, where you will have quickly a key position: HENDYPLAN has been awarded in many call for tenders driving to long term framework contracts, where methodology in statistics and economics are of key concern. Important target of these projects is to insure technology transfer from research to production, with help of experts of highest level, worldwide renown. This position is long term one, at the scale of the duration of underlying contracts.

 

The tasks are involving all major techniques of the field, among others:

-          Benchmarking techniques,

-          Seasonal adjustments,

-          Backward calculation,

-          Chain-linking indexes,

-          Revisions analysis,

-          Turning point and business cycle analysis,

-          Nowcasting,

-          Forecasting

-          Modelling using all modern techniques, especially used in Monetary Policy Analysis (at least forward looking simulations, DSGE models).

For each of these topics, HENDYPLAN works in connection with key experts from the world of research and/or official institutions, as well of statistics producers, as of modellers in forecasting departments. Your role will be central, as technical contact point, (i) to check how deliverables are matching with the contract specification, (ii) to prepare and to assist statisticians and/or economists in the company whose mission is to post-develop/experiment theories proposed by experts, (iii) to identify synergies between the large amount of tasks, (iv) to listen to customers’ requests, experiment its assumptions, generate dialog with experts at this purpose. In brief, you will have to boost the dynamic of communication between the customer, the experts and HENDYPLAN’s staff on the econometric purpose.
