RESEARCHER - FUND ALLOCATION

Norges Bank Investment Management is seeking a dedicated professional for a position as Researcher within Allocation Strategies. Allocation Strategies manages the fund's overall exposure towards different asset classes, segments and countries, selects external managers and advices on the fund's strategy. We also run the Norwegian Finance Initiative.

Allocation Strategies comprises of six groups. The position is within the Fund Allocation group, which is responsible for equity-fixed income positioning and risk management of the Allocation Strategies department's aggregate portfolio. The group also conducts research aimed at improving the Fund's long-term investment strategy.

The position is based in London and will report to Head of Fund Allocation. Travel will be required.

Responsibilities:

Conducting research and analysis on equity share positioning and strategic asset class rebalancing
Building models for portfolio construction along relevant dimensions of risk
Developing tools supporting investments decisions
Contributing to a hardworking, high-performing team

Main Qualifications:

The successful applicant will have the following background / skills

Advanced degree in finance, economics or related field. PhD degree will be considered an advantage
2-5 years relevant experience from investment management and/or research
Solid knowledge of financial markets and asset pricing
Strong quantitative skills and ability to run independent analytical processes
Structured and self-driven with ambition to excel
Excellent communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English
High level of integrity
