If you are looking for a career in economics that is academically oriented but at the cutting edge of practical solutions to problems in the fields of industry restructuring, finance, regulation and public policy, business strategy and market analysis, then NERA may be the right company for you.

NERA Economic Consulting (www.nera.com) is a global firm of experts dedicated to applying economic, finance, and quantitative principles to complex business and legal challenges. For nearly half a century, NERA's economists have been creating strategies, studies, reports, expert testimony, and policy recommendations for government authorities and the world's leading law firms and corporations. We bring academic rigor, objectivity, and real world industry experience to bear on issues arising from competition, regulation, public policy, strategy, finance, and litigation.

NERA's clients value our ability to apply and communicate state-of-the-art approaches clearly and convincingly, our commitment to deliver unbiased findings, and our reputation for quality and independence. Our clients rely on the integrity and skills of our unparalleled team of economists and other experts backed by the resources and reliability of one of the world's largest economic consultancies. With its main office in New York City, NERA serves clients from over 20 offices across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

We currently have several openings across North America. Our consulting teams provide research, analysis, and expert advice to clients in antitrust and competition policy, communications, energy/environment, intellectual property/transfer pricing, and securities/finance and mass torts.

We are seeking candidates from a range of disciplines, who enjoy solving analytical and empirical problems and have exceptional creative and critical thinking skills, as well as excellent oral and written communications skills. Our consultants' work includes building quantitative models; analyzing industry trends and competition; academic research; creating intuitive presentation materials for complex analysis; drafting expert reports; writing code for complex data analysis; and participating in client meetings.

NERA provides a challenging and rewarding professional experience with competitive compensation and benefits. Our research staff travel less than 10% of the time. We promote from within, and do not have an up-or-out policy in career development. To help meet the demands of the position, we support both personal and professional growth. Elements of our program include a comprehensive orientation program, skill enhancement training sessions, and formal performance evaluations twice a year.
