Full Time – Open Ended Appointment.

Plymouth Marine Laboratory is looking to recruit a Natural Resource Economist to join our Sea & Society Science area to undertake resource economics research related to natural capital and ecosystem services in the marine environment and its ecosystems.

Key Deliverables:

Undertake resource economics research in areas related to natural capital and ecosystem services in the marine environment and its ecosystems
Support delivery of existing UKRI GCRF projects: Blue Communities and Solstice
Produce peer reviewed publications and presentations of research results.
Develop productive interdisciplinary working collaborations with other natural and social scientists at PML towards joint publications and securing funding

Experience & Eligibility

You will have

3-5 years' experience within natural resource economics
A flexible approach and an ability to manage your time to work within a number of research projects
A masters qualification, PhD or evidence of equivalent experience
Ability to work collaboratively with staff in multiple disciplines.

Desirable Skills:

Experience in natural resource economics related to the marine environment and its ecosystems
Experience in resource economics modelling
Programming skills to support modelling and/or econometrics
