The challenge

The Revenue Accounting Analyst is responsible for supporting the Revenue Accounting functions as determined by management and Adobe-wide initiatives. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills. In addition, this position will interact with the internal stakeholders, including but not limited to Corporate Accounting, Revenue Assurance, Sales Finance, Audit and Compliance, and other corporate finance functions.

What you'll do

Analyze pricing actions to determine proper revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP and technical accounting guidance
Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and present to senior management on a quarterly basis
Assist in processing system generated revenue adjustment journal entries
Enhance back office systems to support new selling models and technologies Adobe acquires or develops
Assist with integration of acquired companies into Adobe's systems, best practices, and SOX compliance controls
Participate in the month-end revenue close process
Assist in quarterly and fiscal year-end audits with both internal and external auditors – preparation of data and supporting documents
Participate in business model improvement projects
Ad hoc projects

What you need to succeed

BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics
Must have expertise using the Microsoft Office Suite tools, with a strong emphasis in Excel, including the ability to create relational database files and complex pivot tables
Must be proactive and able to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines
Experience working with large scale enterprise systems such as SAP or Oracle a plus
Effective interpersonal skills (oral and written) and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
Ability to work collaboratively with teams from Finance/Accounting, Sales, Legal & Operations
