HDR is currently in need of a Risk Analyst/Economist for our Decision Economics practice in New York, NY. The primary duties of this position are to conduct research to support the formulation of analytical solutions, the development of models, and the interpretation of Risk Assessment results for various types of projects . This individual will collect and review data and assess the applicability of results to the problem at hand. Additionally, the position requires conducting qualitative and quantitative cost and schedule risk assessments, creating and maintaining project risk registers, reviewing technical drawings and other project documents, workshop facilitation, developing risk analysis models, producing risk analysis results using Monte Carlo Simulation techniques, interpreting results to provide actionable recommendations to clients, and developing reports and risk management plans. Qualifications

Masters degree in Economics strongly preferred, minimum of Bachelors degree in Economics or related field required. 5+ years equivalent experience with an emphasis on the application and interpretation of research in public infrastructure or related topics is preferred. Experience in conceptualizing and developing models using analytical methods is required. Experience with analytical packages and/or programming languages (@RISK, Primavera, SAS, Eviews SPSS, Visual Basic) and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, Power Point, and Access is required. Position requires an individual with the ability to interact with clients on a regular basis. Candidates who reside locally in the NY/NJ area are preferred.
