Senior Consultant
FP Analytics, the new research and analysis division of the FP Group, is seeking a Senior Consultant. The individual selected will manage other members of the team, as well as a number of client projects, providing his/her own research input as well as managing contributions from inside FP Analytics and from external researchers. This will include project management responsibility for single client and multi-client research projects being delivered for clients.
Requirements
• Master degree or PhD with outstanding record of academic achievement required; focus in mathematics, statistics, econometrics, computer science or related degree programs
• Experience and knowledge of modeling techniques in statistics, econometrics, and/or optimization applied to policy questions
• Experience with statistical software, databases, and programming languages (R/SAS/Python/SQL or others), and comfortable working with large data sets
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to independently disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with people at all levels in an organization
• Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English
Responsibilities
• Oversee the activities of more junior members of the team, guiding and monitoring their performance and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and to a high standard
• Conceptualize client projects and develop methodologies and research techniques appropriate to the tasks at hand
• Prepare and deliver research inputs and reports for client projects, including economic analysis, forecasting models, benchmarking models, data collection, interpretation, analysis and presentations
• Directly manage individual research projects, dealing with all aspects of project delivery such as writing, editing, and contributor management
