Where Technology and Teamwork come together...Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future.

This position will be located at a client site in Washington, DC. The site is near DuPont Circle, Foggy Bottom and Georgetown and will be supporting mission-critical systems to meet important new regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will be able to function in the following data analysis environments: SAS, JMP, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), Excel, PowerPivot, SharePoint, SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence (EBI) Platform, Stata, MATLAB, Revolution Analytics "R”, Greenplum, MicroStrategy, and other third-party data analysis tools (the primary tool is SAS).

Additionally, we be knowledgeable in data visualization, large data manipulation, JMP scripting, SAS performance tuning, SAS SPDS, and Credit Default Swaps (CDS) products.

Roles and Responsibilities include one or more of the following:
• Execute Data Analytics - Create/enhance analytical procedures, create data dissemination mechanisms/procedures which summarize data in an easy to understand display, create/maintain customized SAS stored processes
- SAS Macro libraries and JMP scripts, perform risk analysis, respond to complex data requests that require data mining, extraction and query optimization services, investigate and recommend new analytic technologies and advanced visualizations, conduct performance tuning on data analytic packages such as SAS stored procedures.
• Provide Analytic Tools Expertise and Assistance - advise and assist stakeholders in the use of data analytics tools and techniques

Requires:
• Bachelor's degree in Econometrics, Finance, Statistics, Math, Economics or related degree (High School Diploma and 4 additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
• Ten years of relevant experience (a Masters or CFA may substitute for two years of experience)
• Minimum of five years of hands-on data analytics
• Proficiency in statistical and data analyses
• Knowledge of fundamental factor models such as macroeconomic factor models, cross sectional fundamental factor models and time-series fundamental factor models
• Familiarility with financial data and the basics of the financial services industry, including derivatives (futures, options and swaps) and financial reporting
• Hands-on experience with at least one or more of the following: SSMS, SSRS, JMP, MATLAB, Revolution Analytics "R", Greenplum, PowerPivot, Stata, SSAS, SPDS and SharePoint
• Advanced ability to compose materials such as detailed reports, work‐related manuals, publications, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with different levels of employees (managers, supervisors and team members) are a must
• Ability to obtain NACI clearance (US Citizenship or Permanent Residence status required)
