About the role
To take a lead role in performing cost-benefit analyses for justifying new transmission developments and investments.
Analyse, undertake, prepare and report on cost-benefit studies of power system investment proposals, in GB, British Isles or Europe.
Provide direction and lead the economic impact assessment of electricity transmission projects
Review and enhance tools and techniques for appraising economic impacts of electricity

About you
Industry expert in undertaking Cost Benefit Assessments of major investment related to electricity transmission schemes
Strong technical and commercial knowledge of power system planning and transmission
Experience of modelling economic impacts of electricity transmission investments e.g. congestion rents
Knowledge of UK and European best practice in Cost Benefit Assessments of projects and policies related to electricity transmission
Experience of applying best practice and developing tools for Cost Benefit Assessment
Project management experience

Qualifications required:
Degree in a highly numerate discipline, preferably Economics

Job dimension:
Provide direction and lead on CBA studies
Manage internal and external stakeholder engagement throughout the study process
Present results of the CBA studies to both internal and external stakeholders
Deliver excellence in appraising economic impacts of transmission investments
Key interfaces:
Included internal stakeholders and investment committees. External interfaces are Ofgem, DECC, Scottish and Off-shore Transmission Owners and ENSTO-e
