DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for economic analysis and forecasting for Latin American economies. Perform risk assessments aimed at providing clients with early warning signals. Write same-day analyses and special reports. Complete detailed macro-economic forecasts and update historical databases for designated countries. Ensure Country reports (including Quarterly and interim economic templates) are kept current, pertinent and aligned with in-house guidelines. Monitor and revise country and sovereign risk ratings as appropriate. Participate in regular regional and department-wide risk setting cycles. Develop a network of local contacts to enhance quality of research and external visibility. Work with sales team, respond to client feedback, and attend clients meetings as required. Contribute to work on product enhancement and special projects.

REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a Master's degree in Economics and two years of experience, which must include: compiling, analyzing, and reporting data to explain economic phenomena and relationships for third party clients/businesses; data collection, data analysis, application of mathematical modeling and statistical techniques to large databases in support of economic reporting and analysis; performing and assessing regional economic impacts of public policies, proposed legislation, taxes, services; analysis of financial and economic policies of governmental and private sectors in both Latin America and the US; preparation of financial projections and performing variance analyses.
