The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), located in Washington, DC, seeks a senior economist to maintain databases, prepare analyses for internal use and the website, as well as participate in forecasting, research and analysis of the housing industry and related issues. The position also includes tracking and analysis of building materials markets, prices and trends, as well as support to the Chief Economist.

The position requires knowledge of economic theory and research methods, as well as spreadsheet, econometric software (e.g., EViews) and basic programming (e.g., SAS, SPSS, etc.) experience. Candidates should have good written and oral communication skills. Experience with U.S. regional and housing industry data is a plus. Advanced degree in economics or related field required, PhD preferred
