Senior Manager-Credit Risk Analytics

Serve as Senior Manager, Credit Risk Analytics for GE Capital Energy Financial Services Quantitative Risk and Capital Management Team, managing the design, development, documentation, approval, implementation and monitoring of all credit risk models and regulatory scorecards, and championing their use in underwriting, portfolio management, risk reporting and analytics, stress testing, risk based pricing, ALLL, capital allocation and management and portfolio risk/return.

Essential Responsibilities

Manage the efficient and effective deployment and life-cycle development of credit risk (PD, LGD and EAD) models and regulatory scorecards, in accordance with SR11-7 standards, covering all required exposure across GE Capital Energy Financial Services (EFS), as well as in new deal, program or portfolio underwriting, collaborating where necessary with platform leaders and CCOs.

Develop and implement credit risk modeling in collaboration with HQ Risk Modeling Leader and EFS Quantitative Risk and Capital Management Team Leaders, covering stress testing, credit analytics, capital allocation of credit products and credit risk pricing.

Support appropriate and optimal use of models in all required risk and finance processes: risk reporting and analytics, stress testing, risk based pricing, ALLL/general reserves, capital allocation and management and portfolio optimization for risk/return.

Represent the Quantitative Risk and Capital Management team and GE Capital Energy Financial Services as Subject Matter Expert, as it relates to quantitative credit risk modeling, to all internal and external customers.

Manage multiple, cross-functional (Risk, Finance, IT, Ops) projects addressing data, process, model, analytics and policy gaps involving quantitative credit risk models.

Drive simplicity and efficiencies in the deployment and usage of credit models, including wing-to-wing management of the model development, approval, implementation and monitoring process, by conducting SR11-7 related activities, such as performing outcome analysis and ongoing monitoring of credit analytic (models and scorecards) on results generated by credit portfolio management team and by both Finance and Stress Testing teams on ALLL and stress credit losses for capital adequacy.

Support delivery of senior management and regulatory reports, such as Policy 6.0, Enterprise Risk Management dashboards and ad hoc requests involving quantitative credit risk models.

Drive communication and training needs pertaining to credit risk models, collaborating with GECC, Functional Leaders and peer Platform Leaders within GE Capital Energy Financial Services as needed.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key functional stakeholders (Risk, Finance, IT, Ops).

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Risk related field (Economics, Finance, Math/Stat, Operations Research, etc. with Quantitative underpinning) with 10+ years of relevant Risk or Finance experience.

Strong business finance acumen, especially in financial and/or banking services industry.

Solid familiarity with the implementation of statistical inference techniques as well as principles of portfolio management.

Demonstrated strong experience in statistical model lifecycle management, including proficient level of expertise with at least one statistical modeling language/utility (Matlab, Stata, SAS or equivalent) and the ability to pick up new statistical language quickly.

Demonstrated experience managing diverse teams of direct reports focused on portfolio data, processes, modeling and analytics. Strong knowledge of MS office tools, and data mining tools (Access, SQL, BO, SAS, etc.)
