Senior Policy Officer - Technology Programme Delivery

We are looking for a motivated and pro-active individual to oversee the development and delivery of high-profile technology and social innovation projects to support London's social and economic recovery during the pandemic and beyond. You will play an important role leading the delivery of City Hall's technology and innovation programmes, ensuring Londoners take an active part in co-creating solutions that will help make the city more resilient, sustainable and inclusive.

You will oversee a budget of c. £1m to ensure successful delivery and sustainability of a diverse portfolio of high-profile Mayoral projects, including the Mayor's Technology Adoption Service, Pay It Forward London, the Mayor's Back to Business scheme, and their successors. You will have the opportunity to help shape future policy and projects that help to deliver the Mayor's priorities for economic development as set out in the Economic Development Strategy, the Smarter London Together Roadmap, and the Economic Recovery Plan, supporting economic recovery through the adoption of digital technologies and the wider diffusion of innovation across businesses and communities.

This is a role that sits within City Hall's Economic Development team – a friendly team passionate about helping to shape a positive future for London and Londoners.

This role will be based at London Fire Brigade's Head Office (Union Street SE1 0LL). At present GLA staff are working largely from home, with office space available where necessary. Over the coming weeks and months, we will moving to hybrid working, linked to our relocation programme. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.
