We are seeking qualified and highly motivated Senior Economist for the following position:

SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (1 Post only)
Project leader for Productivity Measurement Study (12 months tenure at BND 19, 680 per month including one economy return ticket)

Requirements:
• Hold a Doctorate (PhD) Degree in the field of Economics (a minimum of 10 years), or other directly allied field of expertise
• Proven expertise in the required area of research
• Possess excellent policy analysis skills, consultancy experience and familiarity with Brunei or similar economies
• Expertise in qualitative and quantitative, especially survey research methodology.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good public speaking and publication records.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct measurement of productivity at agencies, sectoral and national levels for Brunei Darussalam for benchmarking with the other countries.
• Identify economic activities with low growth and productivity and carry out detailed study to investigate the main constraints and challenges as well as to propose strategies to address these issues by looking at best practices overseas.
• Propose a system to monitor the level and growth in productivity according to economic activities and propose necessary changes to ensure Brunei's productivity rate and growth is at the targeted level.
• Produce project completion report, one policy brief and one paper article for publication in the CSPS Journal.
• Lead a team consisting of two junior Researchers for this project.
• Report directly to the Chief Researcher.
