We are seeking to appoint an established researcher in the field of financial econometrics to lead the Financial Economics Research Group (acting as Convenor of all activities) and to cover the teaching and supervision responsibilities of a department professor (replacement to be appointed during the year) and a current faculty member who is taking special leave.

This is a temporary appointment, to provide cover in the area of financial econometrics in each Hilary term (January to end March) in 2015 and 2016. The role would be particularly suitable for an established researcher who is able to secure leave from their current institution to facilitate this secondment at Oxford in the periods January - March 2015 and January - March 2016.

The postholder will play a leading role in the specialised provision of teaching in the area of financial econometrics for the Masters in Financial Economics and/or the MPhil in Economics (minimum 36 hrs lectures) and will provide graduate supervision. In addition they will serve as an examiner as requested. They will contribute to the research of department.
