Senior Strategy Associate - EMEA

In this role the Associate will collaborate with regional management, country teams to establish the strategy and M&A discipline for EMEA. They will cover organic and in-organic development efforts in region.

From an organic perspective they will actively participate in orchestrating the annual business planning process and engage in shaping longer term strategic initiatives.

In addition they will support the regional M&A efforts coordinating due diligence, preparation of offering documentation and materials and marketing and transaction negotiation. Working with investment bankers in building relationships and establishing a regular structured dialogue will also be required.

Principal Activities:
• Conduct Strategic deep dives – both organic and inorganic
• Orchestrate the business planning process across a range of functions.
• Production of regional business plans and strategy documentation for Board
• Support with analytics and due diligence in evaluating new investment opportunities and assist with the development and execution of related business plans
• Collaborate directly with management/country teams to guide and drive initiatives
• Structure/build detailed financial models to support investment decisions
• Establish connections and regular communication with regional investment banks
• Create and maintain regional dashboard on M&A activity

Position Requirements
• Prior experience working as an Analyst or Associate within a strategic context
• Prior experience in insurance strategy and exposure to mergers & acquisitions is ideal
• Bachelor's degree, with record of high academic achievement preferably in a quantitative field (e.g. finance, business, economics, accounting, mathematics, engineering) (MBA, CFA, and/or CPA preferred) or equivalent
• Proven track record incorporate development/business strategy
• Demonstrated experience working effectively with cross-functional teams to evaluate and execute on strategic initiatives and presenting findings to senior management
• Proven strategic analysis and business case capability
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint and financial data providers, including SNL, FactSet, CapitalIQ, and Bloomberg

Skill Sets:
• Self starter, capable of working independently,
• Exceptional work ethic, intellectual curiosity, leadership and analytical aptitude
• Strong modeling and financial statement analysis skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Bloomberg and other financial information tools (e.g., Capital IQ, etc.)
