Short term Econometrican / Statistician / Economist

We have an enormous amount of socio-economic data about local government in Cambodia and are interested in forging a partnership with a quantitative researcher. We, the National Committee on Sub-National Democratic Development, coordinate local government reform in Cambodia. We wish to evaluate local government reform using econometric methods to determine a counterfactual, to determine the impact of decentralization on poverty, service delivery, governance, and other outcomes. We have completed several econometric papers but these are not yet published. We would like to make our data available to researchers and are interested in hiring an econometrician /statistician / economist to: (i) peer review existing econometric work and make recommendations for how to improve it and take it forward; (ii) based on a review of existing data, develop a research and econometric strategy and methodology; and (iii) develop a plan for publishing results and entering into research and data sharing partnerships to facilitate others to undertake econometric analysis of decentralization in Cambodia. The work is expected to last roughly 1 month with a majority of it completed here in Cambodia.
