Job Summary:

The Senior Strategic Analyst is responsible for the execution of strategic knowledge initiatives for specific priority stakeholders and communities. This role requires the ability to combine strong analytical skills with real-world perspective driven by both the client's experience and broader marketplace drivers.

This senior analyst works closely with SGM leadership, providing thought-provoking insight to help EY differentiate itself in the marketplace. The analyst works with partners and C-suite level executives, supporting priority accounts and proactively bringing solutions to identify new business opportunities and risks.

This individual helps frame knowledge requests and ensures the quality and delivery of research, analysis, market intelligence and other intellectual capital provided by global staff to support the specific stakeholder's initiatives. The analyst also networks with other parts of the EY Knowledge community to ensure global consistency in account and community support, and to leverage resources for cost-effective execution of initiatives.

Responsibilities:

The ability to drive innovative insights into the wider segment market as well as show casing these with our clients and account handlers.
Responsible for the execution of strategic and complex knowledge driven initiatives; provides deep analytic insight and understanding of the business, priority accounts and interconnections across business functions.
Partners with the executive leadership, providing a big-picture perspective; responsible for advice regarding changes amongst key accounts and assessing the impact of those changes on internal strategies and plans.
Collaborates with coordinating partners and account teams to bring insight and perspective to priority engagements and builds strong relationships within priority accounts of the community.
Participates in key strategic planning activities and major initiatives, including pursuits; helps leadership validate priority accounts, map issues to existing EY services and identify new opportunities.
Is recognized within EY as a leader and subject matter expert at the business unit and executive level.
Possesses a deep knowledge and understanding of stakeholders and communities (sector, service line, etc.) and works in conjunction with the leadership to prepare insightful analyses on trends, as well as the implications of those trends for EY or the client.
Is recognized outside of EY as a respected professional in the industry; undertakes external-facing activities, including directly interacting with clients, facilitating insight and thought leadership programs, and developing and delivering training.
Implements strategically sound analytic methodologies; skilled in coaching less-experienced analysts on improving their skills.
Influences and leverages relationships with EY executive leadership to impact the specific community and firmwide objectives.
Acts as a role model within the business and communities and positively influences change by leading by example; champions knowledge-sharing behaviours: connecting people, encouraging enterprise-wide sharing, and appropriately leveraging and reusing existing collateral.
Leads multidisciplinary teams, often working virtually across service lines and geographies.
Superior analytical capability
Develops and articulates a strong point of view across both the community and geographies
Confident in understanding multiple business drivers
Skilled in identifying trends that translate into key market-facing initiatives
Demonstrates ability to use both qualitative and quantitative methodologies including financial analysis skills

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Economics or equivalent work experience
Master's degree or postgraduate qualification an advantage
Extensive experience in the consulting industry, with a demonstrated ability to recognize and link community events to implications for the entrepreneurial industry
Experience providing innovative solutions for small businesses, corporations, governments, colleges and schools in areas such as intergenerational communication & leadership, workforce engagement and workplace innovation.
Proven experience in business analysis, industry research, management consulting or business performance, advising clients in the community
Succinct and structured oral, written and social media communications skills
Deep knowledge of the strategic growth markets/ entrepreneurial space
Credible as a recognized authority in the external community within entrepreneurship
Strong networks within the entrepreneurship industry
Experience producing research and thought leadership within the entrepreneurship arena
Manages multiple, highly-complex projects simultaneously
Advanced skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
