The Department of Accounting, Finance & Economics at California State University Dominguez Hills invites applications from individuals for a Tenure-track Assistant Professor of Economics and International Business in the of College of Business Administration and Public Policy.

The Department of Accounting, Finance & Economics has 15 full-time faculty. The department offers undergraduate concentrations in accounting, finance, and international business and a certificate in accounting. The department is a major contributor to the MBA Online program.

The College of Business Administration and Public Policy
The College of Business Administration and Public Policy consists of three business departments: Accounting, Finance & Economics, Information and Operations Systems, and Management and Marketing. The College houses 46 full-time faculty, 60 part timer faculty, 2,100 undergraduate and 450 graduate students. The business major awards the largest number of bachelor degrees on campus. The business program is the second largest program in the University including both undergraduate and graduate degrees. The College offers two (online and on ground) graduate degrees, an MBA and an MPA. These two degrees have on-line options with complete concentration and course offerings. The MBA Online program was cited in the Wall Street Journal and is listed as a top-ten best buy by Geteducated.com. The public administration program is accredited by NASPAA.

Responsibilities
Teaching duties may consist of day or evening classes. Teaching responsibilities will include both undergraduate and graduate courses, and likely include online courses.

The Position
California State University, Dominguez Hills, invites applications for one full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Economics and International Business in the Department of Accounting, Finance & Economics, College of Business Administration and Public Policy. Teaching needs include undergraduate economics classes, international business courses, and graduate finance courses. The appointment will be effective Fall 2018 semester. Appointment and start date might change and are subject to the availability of funds.

Additional responsibilities include research and service consistent with the mission of the University and the College of Business Administration and Public Policy. Published research in support of the mission is expected and required for tenure and promotion

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in Economics or International Business and be qualified as Scholarly Academic (SA) in teaching area based on 2013 AACSB standards, by the time of employment. A track record and a commitment to teaching excellence and publications in quality journals are required.

Minimum Qualifications
• Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in Economics or International Business at the time of employment and be qualified as Scholarly Academic (SA) in teaching area based on 2013 AACSB standards, by the time of employment. A commitment to teaching excellence and publishing research in quality journals is required.
• Experience in teaching undergraduates from diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
• A track record of teaching excellence and publication in quality journals.
