University Professor - salary grade W3
for the chair "Digital Markets".

This professorship is an innovation professorship, an instrument that was created by the Executive Board and faculties as part of the University's strategic planning and that is used to quickly and flexibly develop and expand promising fields.

Working field: The holder of the position has to represent the chair "Digital Markets" in teaching and research. She/He must have an active research interest, proven through highlyranked publications, in one or more of the following areas: Digital Markets, Electronic Commerce and New Media (e.g., Internet, mobile Internet, Ubiquitous Computing), Social Networks, Virtual Markets (e.g. Auctions, Prediction Markets), Sharing Economy, Value Generation in Digital Markets, Business Model Innovations and Strategic Partnerships in Digital Markets.

The candidate's research should focus on one or more of the following research areas:

Modelling and prediction of the development of digital markets in international contexts (eCommerce, Connected Car, Online Travel, etc.)
Types of digital business models and impact of digital markets on industries and the economic exchange between groups of market actors
Analysis of user behavior changes due to social networks, the influence of user generated content, the Sharing Economy, or the use of digital information and shopping channels, analysis of corporate measures to cope with behavioral changes (Digital Tracking, Digital Profiling, Location-based Targeting, Location-based Services, etc.)
She/He offers teaching classes on a high didactic level in the areas of "Digital Markets and Electronic Commerce", "Analytics in Customer and Partner Value Management" or "Digital Strategies" in the Bachelor and Master programmes "Industrial Engineering”, "Business Informatics”, "Business Mathematics”, as well as in other economic and management degrees of the faculty, especially the Bachelor "Sustainable Management”, the Masters "Innovation Management, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability”, "Industrial and Network Economics”, "Innovation in Information and Communication Technology”, and "Fächerübergreifendes Studium”.
She/He is expected to undertake research and development projects on a national and international level, in cooperation with other chairs, especially in the engineering area. Research should be aligned with the strategic research clusters and fields of the faculty and TU Berlin.

Requirements: Candidates must fulfill the requirements for appointment at the professor level in compliance with § 100 BerlHG (Berlin Higher Education Act) [the information leaflet will be provided upon request], including a completed academic education, qualified achievements in research (PhD), postdoctoral lecture qualification (Habilitation) or equivalent qualification and pedagogical didactic qualifications, to be given proof of by a teaching portfolio (for more information see TUB website, quick access no. 144242). Proof of excellent research qualifications through high-ranked publications, experience in acquiring research grants on a national and international level, experience with research consortia and interdisciplinary research cooperations, international research Network as well as extraordinary qualification and experiance with regard to the provided teaching.
The willingness to offer English-language teaching is also a prerequisite.
