We are looking for an econometrician/economist specialised in modelling for territorial authorities.

We are a Belgian Company and your base office will be Luxembourg. we recruit you for a long stay mission in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) in the premises of the Research and Study department of a major organization of the country, under the supervision of Hendyplan's project manager.

The project aims at implementing modern and state of the art infrastructures from where our customer will produce data and studies in the international standards. You will also be in close relationship with our team of IT developers preparing the technical environment. You will express your knowledge in a wealth of topics from the statistical level where we will look at how to improve the data quality to the modelling activity and construction of policies. You will also have to improve the panel of ISO 37120 indicators.

We will expect you are comfortable at using software like SAS, R and at writing design documents ready to be used by the IT team.

Our selection criteria are:
1) Master and preferably PhD in statistics, econometrics and/or economics;
2) Proficient in
2.1) handling household and land use surveys (sampling, field work, results analysis, validation);
2.2) developing population projection models;
2.3) modelling techniques for urban economic policies;
2.4) building ISO 37120 indicators;
3) Ability to program in SAS, R and SPSS;
4) Understanding of the Relational Database Management Systems paradigm;
5) Proven capacity in writing reports at the policy makers’ level;
6) Fluent in English, Arabic is not mandatory.
