Urban/Transportation Economist

We advise clients in the public and private sectors on policy and regulatory issues, infrastructure investments, service design, and planning or business strategy. Our work frequently involves the development and application of state-of-the-art techniques in travel demand modeling and forecasting, cost-benefit analysis and policy advisory.

Steer Davies Gleave is seeking to fill an opening in its New York office for an intermediate or senior level economist, with a particular interest in transportation or urban economics. Candidates for this position should be highly motivated with a strong knowledge of econometrics, cost-benefit analysis, regional economics and applied microeconomics. The position requires a considerable proficiency working with data and software, and experience in wider statistical modeling a plus (discrete choice modeling, panel data econometrics, risk analysis).

The ideal candidate will have at least a Masters level education in economics, regional science or a related field, with a minimum of three years' experience.
