The aim of this conference is to bring together researchers in different fields of finance, banking and economics working on bank credit-related issues. We are inviting high quality submissions of theoretical and empirical nature on macro- and microeconomic aspects of bank credit in a post-crisis economy.
Topics would include, but are not limited to:
The availability of bank credit to corporation and households in the aftermath of a crisis.
The impact of macro-prudential polices and unconventional monetary policies (including LTRO, and QE) on bank credit.
The role of financial markets, including bond markets, as alternative financing channels to substitute for bank credit.
The role of the international structure of the banking system on bank credit availability.
The effects of bank regulation (like higher capital requirements and liquidity holdings) on credit availability.
The effect of regulation’s international spillover on the availability of bank credit.
Information production and disclosure (e.g., stress tests, accounting statements) and its
impact on market discipline and financial stability.
