Pacific Trade and Development Young Scholars Conference
East Asian Bureau of Economic Research Canberra - Australia 21st November 2016 - 24th November 2016
The Pacific Trade and Development (PAFTAD) Fellowship for Young Scholars is aimed at attracting emerging economists in the Asia Pacific region and to assist them in contributing to discussion of Asia Pacific economic policy and the work of PAFTAD. It is widely considered one of the most distinguished fellowships available to young researchers in the field.
In 2016, the PAFTAD International Steering Committee is looking for 5 aspiring researchers (generally current post-graduate students or university/research institute staff members apply, however this is not a requirement for selection) to present papers on themes related to Asia Pacific trade and economic development (see Honour Board below for previously successful submission topics).
The Young Fellows program will take place in the run-up to the 38th PAFTAD Conference, co-hosted with the East Asia Bureau of Economic Research in Canberra, Australia from 22-24 November 2016. This year’s conference will focus on Asian Economic Integration Strategies.
