Position Overview/Description:

Ford Motor Company's Global Data, Insight, and Analytics (GDIA) organization is looking for motivated and talented individuals with a background in mathematical modeling. This is a dynamic and challenging opportunity to apply the latest tools and methods to a variety of business problems at Ford. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the brightest global subject matter experts that are transforming the automobile industry.

Responsibilities:

Translate complex quantitative analysis into business insights
Prepare analysis to back-test and compare competing methodologies
Maintain and enhance developed models
Execute both descriptive and inferential ad hoc requests in a timely manner
Work with various data source and platforms (PC, Mainframe, Unix/Linux, Teradata) to gather data
Communicate and present models to business customers and executives

Job Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering
3+ years of experience conducting statistical analysis in a business or academic environment
3+ years of experience using SAS, E, and MatLab

Preferred Qualifications:
PhD
SQL programming experience
Experience with Hadoop, GreenPlum, SAS HPA, or MADLib
Ability to translate complex quantitative methods into easily understood results for all levels of business customers
Strong written and oral communication skills
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to handle multiple projects within a given timeframe
