Assistant Professor of Economics of Natural Resources and Agriculture (Tenure-line faculty position)

The Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of California, Berkeley, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position (academic year) in the area of Economics of Natural Resources and Agriculture in the context of developed or developing economies, expected to begin July 1, 2016. We seek candidates with a strong interest in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and evidence of high productivity in policy-relevant, theoretically sound, and empirically grounded research in applied microeconomic analysis of issues relating to natural resources and agriculture. The department is interested in candidates who will contribute to diversity and equal opportunity in higher education through their teaching, research, and service.

The minimum qualification required to be considered an applicant for this position is the completion of all degree requirements except the dissertation. Additional qualifications: applicants should have a PhD or equivalent degree in Economics, Agricultural Economics, or a related area, by the appointment date.
