Job Description:
ICF International is looking for a versatile, detail-oriented Economist with strong quantitative and writing skills to join us in expanding our business and working with current and future clients. The position is located in the Washington, DC area.
About the team:
The Regulatory, Economic, and Technical Services line of business supports public- and private-sector clients in the full-range of regulatory and economic activities. For clients with regulatory responsibilities, we offer a diversity of policy and economic support, such as estimate costs, benefits, and business impacts of regulations, policies, and programs. We also summarize and help develop responses to public comments, help draft regulatory language, provide outreach and training support, and evaluate program implementation. This line of business works with virtually all major federal agencies, with key clients that include program offices across the Department of Justice, Department of the Interior, Department of Labor, Department of Homeland Security, and Environmental Protection Agency, as well as state and local agencies, and private-sector clients.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in engagements to support federal and state government clients who develop and implement policies and regulations affecting energy, the environment, transportation, public safety and security, labor markets, and other national priorities.
Creates written documents that convey key analytic findings for distribution to internal/external clients.
Resolves issues effectively with projects/clients.
Basic Qualifications:
Master's in economics or closely-related field.
Ability to demonstrate strong quantitative skills.
Advanced experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Government experience.
1+ years of experience in cost-benefit analysis or other quantitative analysis.
1+ years of experience managing databases or conducting statistical analysis with STATA, SAS, or similar tools.
2+ years of experience in economic analysis in support of regulations.
1+ years of experience conducting uncertainty analysis using @Risk or similar tools.
U.S. citizenship.
Professional Skills:
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Presentation skills, including experience with presenting concepts to clients (both internal and external).
Strong outreach, organizational and self-motivation skills.
High level of attention to detail.
Demonstrated customer service orientation and outstanding level of professionalism.
