Mott MacDonald is seeking a climate change adaptation economist to join our newly formed Climate Resilient Division based in Cambridge or London. The successful candidate will have a proven track record working on projects across different geographies and sectors, preferably in multidisciplinary teams. The role will contribute to the growth of our new Climate Resilience Division, providing advice internally and externally to clients in all of Mott MacDonald's operating sectors.

Job Description

Your duties will include:

Technical advice on the application of climate change adaptation economics
Bidding for project work, and contributing to other teams' bids
Managing ongoing projects to ensure they are delivered on time, under budget and to the standards that our clients expect of a leading multinational consultancy
You will be involved in the technical development of climate change economics that will raise the Group's profile in this area.

Candidate Specification
Formal qualifications at Bachelor, Master, or higher level in a relevant degree, eg: climate change/environmental science/geography; or economics,
Experience applying climate change economics theory to practical and operational issues/
Experience providing technical support and advice to internal and external clients
Respected specialist in your organisation/field, providing technical leadership through paper publications, reports, conference presentations etc.
An acute understanding of the interactions between climate change polices, operational delivery and strategic policy development
Established track record of proposal development, working with large funding institutions and project management
Willing to travel on occasional international trips
