Job Summary

Apple is seeking a proven Data Analyst to join the Apple Music Analytics team. You'll work closely with our internal stakeholders to understand analytics needs, independently solve problems and communicate complex analyses with ease. As part of a centralized team that collaborates with product management, engineering, operations, marketing, finance - amongst other teams - you'll act as a thought partner and domain expert on data, forming recommendations and driving decision across the iTunes and Apple Music business landscape.

Key Qualifications

5-10 years of experience working with large datasets to deliver product insights and recommendations
Well versed in SQL languages
Experience with big data frameworks preferred
Experience with Python or R
Knowledge of statistical principles
Background in marketing analytics (segmentation, cohort analysis, customer lifetime value) a plus
Ability to thrive in a startup environment
Deep analytical skills, strong out-of-the-box thinking and a curious mind
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to convey complex findings in a clear, concise and credible manner
Strong ability to present data in a compelling way

Description

Help grow an emerging product with an aggressive trajectory in the competitive streaming music landscape. Leverage your analytics domain expertise for stakeholders throughout the organization, guiding decisions on product features, customer experience, and strategic opportunities. You love building narratives backed by data and demonstrate a strong desire to continually improve the customer experience. This is a full-time position in iTunes and is located in our Cupertino, CA headquarters.

Education

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or relevant field. Ideally, Masters in related field.
