JOB DESCRIPTION
This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and creative writing. The position's primary responsibility is to work with the marketing team to research and explain labor market and economic trends, write articles, develop engaging content for marketing campaigns, and deepen media relationships. The job requires someone with a strong motivation to grow the breadth and depth of Emsi's thought leadership. We're looking for someone passionate about their work who brings a high level of dedication and determination to all they do.

Primary Responsibilities

Produce articles and data analyses that are informative and help engage prospects and customers.
Work with a team of economists, data scientists, and analysts to create thought leadership materials at the crossroads of people, education and employers.

Create and deliver press releases, media relations content, case studies, white papers, executive bios, corporate newsletter content, social media content, executive bios and speaking proposals.
Work with design team to create visualizations that help promote EMSI's brand and engage clients and prospects.
Build and maintain relationships with reporters, producers, and editors in print and broadcast media who might create stories with our research/publications.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

2-3 years' writing experience in public relations, marketing, or a journalism role preferred.
Ability to contribute to creative process in marketing campaigns with a team of writers and designers.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and readers.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work with economic metrics and analytics and create easy to understand articles, papers, and presentations for the regular public.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet daily deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
