We are seeking a full time director of business development with drive, flexibility and initiative to take primary responsibility for increasing revenue by driving the sales & marketing process. Scope exists for rapid promotion within the Maxwell Stamp Group in a time frame limited only by your own abilities and commitment. This is a once in a generation opportunity to get in on the ground floor and build a successful career and reputation within an internationally established brand.

The successful candidate will be based in our new Washington office and will lead proposal preparation for projects throughout the world covering a broad and ever changing range of public sector and corporate areas of interest including initially:

• policy, strategy and competitiveness;
• international trade, investment and employment;
• health and education;
• regulation and PPPs; and
• project development, appraisal and finance.

The person appointed will be a team player and work closely with our Washington-based President and staff to build a strong and successful consulting team.

Applicants should have extensive experience in a consulting environment, preferably with an international company, and must have:

• creativity and entrepreneurial flair;
• familiarity with Aid agency tendering processes;
• a proven track record of winning significant international consulting tenders;
• the ability to lead successfully proposal teams;
• solid background in economics ideally with a good post graduate degree;
• high analytical and delivery standards; and
• excellent verbal and written communication.
