We are looking for talented economists to join our team of exceptional practitioners.   As an economist at the CMA, you can expect to plan and lead and manage cases, as well as manage the work of other economists. You will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of projects covering all sectors of the economy – for example, you might be investigating mergers which could restrict competition, analysing markets for competition or consumer concerns, or assessing whether a firm has illegally abused a dominant position.

We are looking for people, who are thorough, diligent, ideally with practical work experience in competition economics or a related area. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, keen to develop their learning and  the ability to effectively present economic analysis, whether that be in writing or in person.

We will provide a range of opportunities to develop your economic expertise including training courses, lunchtime seminars and discussion groups on economics topics. We will also support and encourage you to develop your wider skills – including communications, drafting, management skills and project management.
