We are currently looking for experienced Economic Advisers to join our team of exceptional practitioners. As an economist at the CMA, you will have the opportunity to undertake objective, evidence-based analysis that will have a direct and substantial impact on consumers and the economy.

The mission of the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is to make markets work well in the interests of consumers, business and the economy. We enforce competition and consumer law, scrutinise mergers and investigate markets across all sectors of the economy. What we do really matters and makes a difference to people's lives.

You will have practical work experience in the economic analysis of markets or quantitative economics and a good understanding of industrial organisation and competition economics. Your ability to design, manage and deliver economic analysis and communicate your findings to a non-technical audience is key. You will also be able to develop strong working relationships with colleagues from a range of professions, influence decision makers and external parties and develop the skills of other economists.
