Major Responsibilities:

Produce Macro-economic Reports Publish in-depth macro-economic reports of the region to the bank's management, related departments, and clients.
Contribution to MUFG's Latin American Strategy Cooperate closely with related department within the bank to enhance Latin American business strategy including writing specific reports, providing economic analyses and perspectives.
Internal and External Presentation Make presentations on Latin American economies to the bank's senior managements, internal users, and clients.
Initiative in Latin American economic analysis.
Work closely with other Latin America economist of the group, in the region and also in Tokyo, and take initiative in developing Latin America economic analysis necessary for the bank's business strategy.
Support macro-economic research of US.
Performs related duties and participates in special projects as required.

Qualifications

3 to 5 years experience of economic research career preferred
MA (or BS/BA+ work equivalent) in economics or related field, emphasis on economics, statistics preferred
Ability to read Spanish or Portuguese
Analyze major Latin American macro-economies
Produce reports to the management of the MUFG and also to the client
Adequate knowledge of economic and financial data sources, ability to handle analytic issues, and write economic reports independently
