We are looking for a statistician to help us analyse cross-country statistical data such as GDP and price indices, wage, exchange rates and balance of payment data. Identifying key patterns and trends in these data is essential to help shape investment ideas and inform our medium-term decision making. You will report directly to the co-heads of the department and have regular interaction with the senior portfolio managers of the firm.

Two to three years' experience in a statistical office or at a central bank is an advantage but academic research experience is also helpful. You must have extensive practical experience in the compilation and construction of statistical data and time series analysis. This must be combined with an advanced degree in a relevant discipline from a top-tier academic institution.

You must also have strong communication skills and be able to work independently under a tight deadline. Working knowledge of international statistical standards such as the IMF BPM6 and System of National Accounts is very helpful.
