Job Summary:

The Economic Research Team assesses the macro economy, financial markets, and financial institutions with in-depth analyses and insights.

Major Responsibilities:
Produce (create and design) reports on U.S. economy in Japanese.
Research includes personal insights utilizing the methodologies of political science, diplomatic study, business management, etc. as well as periodicals, internet, and direct contact with professionals.
Write precise and concise Japanese reports summarizing massive English information.
Respond to specific inquiries from other MUFG offices and headquarters.
Perform related duties and participate in special projects.
An ability to work with and across multiple departments and at all levels.
Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
Ability and flexibility to meet changing business needs and understand compliance regulatory issues.

Qualifications

Full proficiency in English and Japanese (Written and Verbal).
3-5 years' experience (Banking Officer level) in research and understanding about US economy, financial market.
Candidate must possess critical thinking/thorough analysis skills.
Proficient in Excel, Word.
