The Transportation Technology Center, Inc. has an opening for an Economist. TTCI offers consulting and testing services to customers worldwide and hold the reputation of being the premier railroad testing facility in the world. TTCI employs a diverse workforce; including industry recognized railway researchers and widely talented support staff. As a member of our team, you will be consistently contributing to the advancement of safety and efficiency of railway systems worldwide.
The Economist is responsible for supporting the performance of economic analysis needed by technical railroad committees, railroad research committees, and strategic research funded through the Association of American Railroads.
* Will conduct quarterly price survey, update-pricing formulas to comply with AAR Committee rule changes,
* Maintain the time standards used in Locomotive and/or Car Repair Billing,
* Conduct an annual overhead study.
* Will assist in performing the post audit "look back" described by the AAR Cost Benefit Analysis Procedure.
* All analyses should be precise, accurate, and strictly follow the written guidelines.

Requires a BS engineering, mathematics or economics. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in railroad financial analysis OR similar fields such as industrial engineering, research, testing, and project management. Travel requirements will range from 10% to 20%.
