Forecast, analyze, and document economic conditions affecting industry and/or business groups of an organization. Perform modeling including statistics, decision trees, econometrics, and calculations. Extract data from literature and primary sources to prepare and present to management. Analyze and detect situations that may cause risk to assigned projects, and escalate these issues to other team members.

Job Duties

Assemble and review data. Generally works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
Conduct statistical analyses and complete studies of real estate and mortgage related data.
Prepare and maintain programs and documentation for asset and asset risk models.
Assist management in monitoring and re-engineering current models and their prototypes as needed, to improve and enhance core models and group research objectives.
Participate in quantitative and qualitative research projects independently.
Assess and communicate research results to internal and external stakeholders.
Fulfill ad-hoc requests for data and analytical reporting to support business units throughout the organization.

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related field strongly preferred; Master's degree is ideal
Up to four years of related experience (i.e. statistician or economist)
Detail oriented
Able to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously
Communicate ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing
Proficient PC skills
Presentation skills
Understanding of relational database principles and experience developing SOL scripts a plus
Familiarity with statistical software such as SAS or SPSS a plus
