Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Economist for immediate employment for the San Francisco, CA office. The selected candidate will join the Sustainable Development and Economics Group.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Market analysis for strategic and master planning projects, focusing on infill development and transit oriented development (TOD)
Cost-benefit analysis for climate action plan
Triple bottom line/sustainable return on investment analysis
Energy efficiency / green building policy modeling
Development projections and carbon emissions modeling
Financial feasibility/Pro forma analysis for real estate development projects
Socioeconomic analysis for environmental impact report
Fiscal impact analysis
Affordable housing policy analysis
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree with a focus in urban planning, public policy, business, environmental studies or a related field
7+ years' experience in urban and real estate economics, urban planning, public policy, business administration or policy modeling/design
Excellent quantitative skills
Detail-oriented
Strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn more and a desire to work in a dynamic, deadline driven team environment
Excellent communication and writing skills are critical
Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite imperative
Demonstrated interest in sustainability, with a particular emphasis on quantitative analytical approaches to developing innovative solutions to the planning, public policy, business, environmental studies or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with other quantitative/statistical programs such as SAS, SPSS, IMPLAN highly desirable
Demonstrated interest and knowledge of the principles and practices of sustainability planning with an emphasis on urban regeneration, green development economics, and land-use/environmental policy design
Experience with financial and economic modeling desirable
Experience with ArcGis highly desirable
