Example Project Types:

Market analysis for strategic and master planning projects, focusing on infill development and transit oriented development (TOD)

Cost-benefit analysis for adaptation strategies and investment planning

Triple bottom line/sustainable return on investment analysis

Diverse financial feasibility analyses, subject to influence by regulatory and technical changes

Pro forma analysis for real estate development projects

Socioeconomic analysis for environmental impact report

Fiscal impact analysis

Affordable housing policy analysis

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with focus in economics, urban planning, public policy analysis, business, environmental studies or a related field

2+ years' experience in urban, real estate, or environmental economics, urban planning, public policy analysis, business administration and/or policy modeling/design

Excellent quantitative skills

Detail-oriented: Strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn more and a desire to work in a dynamic, deadline driven team environment

Excellent communication and writing skills are critical

Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite imperative

Excellent analytical and writing skills

Demonstrated interest in sustainability, with a particular emphasis on quantitative analytical approaches to developing innovative solutions to complex challenges facing cities as they deal with a changing climate

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with other quantitative/statistical programs such as SAS, SPSS, IMPLAN desirable

Demonstrated interest and knowledge of the principles and practices of sustainable development with an emphasis on urban regeneration, environmental economics, and land-use/environmental policy design.

Master's degree in a related field highly desirable

Experience with financial and economic modeling desirable

Experience with ArcGis highly desirable

Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is beneficial
