Economist/Quantitative Analyst

ICF's Regulatory, Economics, Environment, and Energy (R3E) line of Business provides government clients with research, analysis, technical assistance, and implementation support. Our projects span a wide range of size, duration, and scope. Projects range from assessing the economic and technical implications of proposed energy or economic policy in a matter of days or weeks to running major environmental laboratory facilities and training programs over multiple years.

Do you enjoy working on quantitative data? ICF is looking for a detail-oriented Economist/Quantitative Analyst with strong quantitative and writing skills to join us in expanding our business and working with current and future clients.

The position is located in our Cambridge, Massachusetts office location.

About the team…
The Regulatory, Economics, Environmental & Energy Services line of business supports public- and private-sector clients in the full range of economic and policy activities. We estimate costs and benefits of regulations, policies, and programs. We also evaluate program effectiveness. We work with virtually all federal agencies; key clients include the Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Energy, Department of Labor, Department of Transportation, Department of Homeland Security, Department of the Interior, and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, as well as state and local agencies, and private-sector clients.

What you'll be doing….
Participate in short- and long-term projects for federal and state government clients who develop and implement policies and regulations affecting energy, the environment (including air and water resources), labor markets, financial markets, transportation, and other national priorities.
Create written documents that convey key analytic findings for distribution to internal and external clients.

Qualifications

What you'll need to have….

Master's degree in economics, statistics, or related quantitative field.
2+ years of experience in cost-benefit analysis, program evaluation, or other quantitative analysis.
Experience in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Skills/Experience….
1+ years of experience managing databases or conducting analysis using SAS, R, a computable general equilibrium (CGE) model, or similar tools.

High level of attention to detail.
Demonstrated professionalism and customer service orientation.
