The Computational & Data Science R&D group at Air Liquide has an opening for a full time Financial Economist. The researcher will have the opportunity to work on a wide array of challenging problems centered around marketing and operations excellence, while building a new competency within our global R&D organization.

The researcher will also contribute to the Fabs, multidisciplinary teams composed of Business, IT and Digital resources that define operating model, and build digital solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with the business and other researchers to define needs and challenges, and develop solutions to address them.
Support the development of financial economics tools with industrial application, and their deployment in the business units.
Train team members and the business teams, thus ensuring sustainability of the solutions for Air Liquide.
Publish research in internal reports, at conferences and peer-reviewed journals.


REQUIREMENTS

PhD in Finance, Economics or related field.
Proven self-starter able to initiate and complete research projects under deadlines.
Programming skills in R and Python, or similar development environments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and oral) in English language
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative and international environment.
