The project is directed by Dr. Helen X. H. Bao. You will be expected to work closely with PhD students and visiting scholars that are involved in this project. This may include a range of tasks such as literature reviews, designing and administering surveys, data analysis, and writing first drafts reports and academic papers.

Subject to a probationary period, the appointment will be for 12 months in the first instance with possibility of extension for one more year, subject to funding and performance. This fixed-term appointment is from 1 April 2016, or as soon as possible thereafter.

The salary will be at Research Associate Grade 7 (£28,982 to £37,768) on the University scale. The post holder will be expected to have a good first degree in a relevant area (e.g., social policy, economics, finance, housing, urban studies or geography) and proven research skills and experience. Appointment as Research Associate is dependent on having a Ph.D (or equivalent experience). The position will provide a real opportunity for a career within several interesting areas of research, and you will have every chance to develop your research skills in a rapidly changing policy context.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 12 months in the first instance.
