Research Associate

As a Research Associate, you will participate in research and data analysis to explore healthcare innovation opportunities. Your work will begin under the direction of an economist that is a senior member of the firm's scientific leadership group. Additionally, you may work as a member of multidisciplinary teams supporting research projects. Your involvement may be from the ideation stage all the way through operational development and execution. Advancement can be expected within approximately two years along one of several career paths.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with team members to perform high quality data analysis, interpret findings, and communicate results in written and verbal form
Review and synthesize existing literature related to research projects
Write analyst reports based on findings
Use sophisticated econometric/statistical methods in the context of the existing literature and open hypotheses
Act as a liaison between the company's scientific leadership and research teams
Help identify and explore new investment opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS
Must have an interest in the economics of healthcare delivery. Ideally, your curiosity should span from the behavioral economics of the individual all the way to the organizational structure and incentives faced by firms in markets that are not perfectively competitive.
Highly developed research and communication skills. You need to be able to locate, synthesize, and interpret large amounts of information with relatively little direction. You need to be able to communicate your conclusions clearly and elegantly both verbally, and in writing, to an audience with varied training and backgrounds.
Able to effectively work on several projects in parallel.
A Ph.D. in Economics, Applied Economics, or a D.B.A./BusD with a focus in Economics or Industrial Organization.
