JOB OVERVIEW
The Research Data Analyst works on research data reporting assignments that are of moderate diversity in scope. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

This position will support the PI's project activity collecting and analyzing existing health program cost data, including systematic extraction of HIV intervention cost data from published studies, rating data quality, and descriptive analyses for a variety of intervention strategies and low income countries. The position will prepare technical reports and data files, and will contribute to formal cost effectiveness analyses (CEA).

HEALTH POLICY STUDIES
The Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies (PRL-IHPS) is an organized research unit within the School of Medicine. The primary purposes of the Institute are to advance knowledge of health services and health policies through basic and applied research and to contribute to the solution of health and social problems through the application of research findings to health policy issues at the national, state, and local levels.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in economics, public or global health, sociology, public policy, or related area and / or equivalent experience / training
• Working skills in analysis and consultation
• Working familiarity with descriptive statistics.
• Substantial experience (minimum of 1-year or at least one completed project) with structured extraction of data from scientific papers for use in systematic review
• Working familiarity with Microsoft Excel software
• Skills to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner both verbally and written

Preferred Qualifications • Master's degree in public or global health and/or equivalent experience/training
• Course(s) in economics
• Experience working in the areas of HIV, TB, STI, health policy, or economics
